The Japan Foundation Toronto is currently hosting an exhibit entitled Japanese Design Today 100, featuring 100 designs from a range of everyday products. One of the highlights includes a neat collapsible origami dress by Issey Miyake + Reality Lab:

Also on display is an origami light fitting, In-Ei Issey Miyake “Mogura” (catalogue item #22). Be sure to drop in and take a look if you’re in the area. The exhibit runs from August 6 – October 30, 2014.

As part of the Summer Festival programme at the Japan Foundation Toronto Library, OST members will be teaching a workshop on July 12, 2014, around 1:30 PM. Come by and learn how to fold a lantern, stars and other tanabata icons.
The OST will be back for another session at the Textile Museum of Canada this month on April 16 starting at 6 PM. Did you miss the Wide Open Wednesdays workshops last year or enjoyed them? Stop by and let us know!
