What should I bring to my first Meet & Fold?
Yourself, of course! Please bring an origami book (diagrams or similar) and paper if you intend to do some folding. Origami paper (15-25 cm) is a good start and readily available at craft or art supplies store (Curry’s, Midoco, etc.) If you don’t have origami paper at hand, printing paper with some cut to squares will also suffice for many projects. Some people also have a bone folder or folding tool to help them make sharp creases. Members also like to bring in models they’ve recently folded and share any origami they’ve seen featured around the city or on the internet.

My child loves origami. Is there a minimum age to attend a Meet & Fold?
We’re happy to hear your child is interested in origami. There is no minimum age requirement. Young children are welcome, with parent or guardian supervision. While we don’t require parents to participate – though they are of course welcome to do so! – we do ask that they remain on the premises in case the child requires parental assistance.

Can you suggest any places to get supplies?
Please see the Supplies section.

I’m looking to have someone deliver an origami workshop for my institution or event.
Some of our members are available to teach at workshops — please contact us for details or connect with one of our members directly in the Artist Directory. At least one (1) month’s advance notice from the tentative event date is preferable to allow time for internal communication and arrangements.
